Ramones A confession: I was very slow to appreciate the Ramones. I'm not talking months, or even a few years, but probably about a full decade after this debut. Even as I gravitated toward punk, new wave and their successive permutations, I had a hell of a difficult time shaking the notion that music had to be serious. There's absolutely nothing serious about this, to which I can only say now, "Thank God." |
